About The Expedition

2010 Carbon Neutral ExpeditionCarbon Neutral Expedition is a series of 4×4 expeditions using alternative-energy powered vehicles. These expeditions serve as a real-world demonstration of “green” technologies and how they can lessen our collective impact on the environment. They show that alternative fuels provide a robust and capable platforms for even the rigorous demands of expedition and overland use with minimal compromise to end user’s lifestyles. Further, they provide real world, attainable solutions for adventure travelers seeking to reduce their carbon footprint and travel with a clean conscience.

<<<The first expedition>>>, which took place in April 2010, traveled via dirt roads and 4×4 trails from Park City, Utah to Amado, Arizona. This seven vehicle expedition traveled over 1,000 miles through the front lines of the ongoing battle between environmentalists and four wheel drive aficionados to show that overland travel can be environmentally sensitive. Using renewable and alternative fuel powered vehicles, combined with the purchase of carbon offset credits, allowed the expedition to travel across some of the most rugged, remote and scenic ares in the world without negatively contributing to the earth’s atmosphere.

The 2nd Carbon Neutral Expedition is currently in the planning phase. If you would like to be part of this expedition, either as a sponsor, media or a traveler, please contact us
