We are explorers who are using real world answers to questions about weening our species off our umbilical cord --fossil fuels-- that are proving to have serious, real world, political, economic, and environmental consequences for our species at our level of maturity.  We are also using today’s & yesterday’s technology.

This is a gathering of friends, of wonderful spirits, and of wonderful environmental minds, that is 8 vehicles, 11 people, and a motorcycle with a dog  that rides in a sidecar.  We will travel from Park City, Utah to Amado, Arizona (20 miles north of the Mexican border) over 5 days and 900 miles, completely self sufficient,  and not adding a drop of carbon to our blanket (the atmosphere). We travel on dirt roads, through some of Utah and Arizona’s most spectacular terrain, on existing dirt roads & tracks, and using Tread Lightly! certified techniques. This is about humans and our compatibility with the planet.  We are people who haven’t given up on the idea that humans could possibly become compatible with the laws of nature, versus the current human, that largely exists as a cancer.

All vehicles run on a wide range of fuels and alternative fuels that can be compatible with natute and/or using carbon credits.  Our final destination is the 2010 Overland Expo, a gathering of world explorers and vehicle-dependent adventurers who are largely environmentalists themselves - people who are out to see the world and the land and all of its beauty, who simply choose a car to do it, and their environmentalism is regardless of their own political beliefs.
